A Sandwich firm with bases in Bath and Bristol has won a nationalaward.
Chandos Deli, which has shops in George Street and the egg theatreand five in Bristol, has been named the National Independent SandwichBar of the Year for 2007/08.
The accolade, dished out by the British Sandwich Association,took into account presentation, atmosphere, facilities, cleanlinessand the range and quality available.
In their citation about Chandos, the award judges said: "Many ofthe big names of the food industry were acknowledged at the ceremony.
"But so were some of the smaller operators who play an equallyimportant role in helping to drive this massive industry …
