Why would Schenectady County send workers to a Florida rehabilitation program when a comparable one, Conifer Park, exists right within within its borders, in the village of Scotia?
That question cries out for an answer now that three highway department truck drivers have filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the county on grounds they were ordered to attend the Florida program or face dismissal. What is even more dismaying is that the question apparently has been raised before, but no one in authority seemed interested in getting answers, according to county Legislator Albert H. deAprix.
