Vic: Tourist pursues robbers after attack
Two teenagers have been arrested over a series of armed robberies in central Melbourne
overnight after one of their alleged victims chased them in a taxi.
Two men armed with a knife robbed a 23-year-old man of cash near the Queen Victoria
Market about 9pm (AEST).
Ninety minutes later two men, one armed with a pair of scissors, held up a man in Flinders
Lane, taking his wallet and a mini-disc player.
And just after midnight, a 43-year-old tourist was robbed of his wallet, a watch and
jewellery in Flinders Lane by two men.
The men fled the scene in a taxi and the tourist hailed another cab to chase them.
Police arrested two men in Russell Street a short time later.
The 17-year-olds from Heidelberg and Thornbury, are being questioned by police.
