Vic: 21 year old woman to stand trial for murder of teenager

MELBOURNE, Feb 1 AAP - A 21-year-old woman was today ordered to stand trial for the
murder of a 15-year-old dancer whom she used to babysit.

Caroline Reed-Robertson pleaded not (NOT) guilty when she appeared in the Melbourne
Magistrates Court today charged with the murder of Rachel Barber.

Reed-Robertson was charged with murder after Ms Barber's body was discovered on a farm
owned by her father north of Melbourne.

The body was found in a shallow grave in Old Lancefield Road, Kilmore, on March 13 last year.

Ms Barber was last seen in the vicinity of Reed-Robertson's flat 12 days earlier.

The court heard that Reed-Robertson, of Trinian Street, inner-suburban Prahran, had
kept notes of a plan to kill Ms Barber, for whom she had once been babysitter.

Magistrate Frank Hender said that there was sufficient evidence to support a conviction
on the charge of murder and ordered Reed-Robertson to stand trial at the Victorian Supreme
Court on May 1.
