Qld: Police seal off part of Coolangatta CBD to find armed man

BRISBANE, April 12 AAP - Police have sealed off part of Coolangatta's CBD on the southern
Gold Coast in search of an armed man.

A police spokesman said the man, who is described as dangerous, is being sought as
part of an ongoing investigation.

The man was seen in Coolangatta early this morning and police converged on the area
around 8am (AEST).

Police have warned people in a major building complex in the CBD area to stay indoors.

Officers have also started evacuating people from buildings.
